Every two years, wine and food enthusiasts gather to share their passion for tasting exceptional vintages and trying Charlotte’s fine cuisine. The Weekend’s stature and notoriety attracts internationally-known sommeliers and expert chefs from around the world. One of the Southeast's largest wine events, the Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend includes the following festivities:

New event- February 6 at 10 am – C³ Charlotte Cru Competition Wine Tasting. Private event. Spectactors welcome for FREE. Held at Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse.

Tickets on Sale January 25, 2010 for the following Weekend events:

April 22-25, 2010 Vintner Dinners - winemaker dinners held at various restaurants

April 23, 2010 Big Bottles & Blues - a casual event with the largest attendance. Held at Gateway Village, in the heart of downtown Charlotte.

April 24, 2010 Grand Gala & Live Auction – a formal, culminating celebration held at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte.

Charlotte’s best kept fundraising secret, Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend has raised more than $3 million for local charities. For 2010, five charities were selected based on the theme “Nourishing Mecklenburg County Youth.” As a group, these charities nurture the “whole child,” (body, mind and spirit) by focusing on such issues as education, child abuse and neglect, homelessness, and hunger. The beneficiaries and designated programs are:

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte – Professional Theatre for Youth Audiences

Council for Children’s Rights – The Leading Voice for Abused and Neglected Children

Johnson & Wales University – Scholarships and Career Development

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina – Backpacks for Underprivileged Kids

Workforce Initiative for Supportive Housing –Homeless Children Focus
