Vintner Dinner at L’Ostrica

Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist hosted an exclusive charity vintner dinner featuring Chef Eric Ferguson of Charlotte's acclaimed restaurant, L’Ostrica and cellar-worthy wines by La Jota Vineyard Co. Special guest, Todd Brentnall, CWS, WSET lll, & Regional Manager of The Spire Collection, took guests on a perfectly-paired journey through each pour. Charlotte Wine + Food Board Member and Co-founder of L’Ostrica, Cat Carter, collaborated in curating the evening’s 6-course tasting menu.

Featured wines included:
Champagne Henriot Blanc de Blanc, 2013 Champagne Henriot Cuvée Hemera, 2023 La Jota W.S. Keyes Vineyard Chardonnay, 2021 La Jota Estate Merlot, 2013 La Jota Estate Merlot, 2021 La Jota Estate Cabernet, 2013 La Jota Estate Cabernet, and 2019 La Jota W.S. Keyes Vineyard Merlot.

A brief live auction was held at the end of dinner including: a 3L Bottle of 2019 La Jota Vineyard Co. Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley, CA and a Duo of 750 mL Bottles of 2019 La Jota Vineyard RESTRICTED Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley, CA. Through the generosity of all present, the auction raised $1,800!

All proceeds benefited Beds for Kids, Digi-Bridge, Families Forward Charlotte, and Wayfinders.
