in-home VINTNER dinners
Each year we host a limited number of vintner dinners at the private residences of Charlotte Wine & Food’s top patrons and supporters. These intimate dinner experiences typically include 4 to 5-courses paired with wines for 20 to 24 guests and are hosted by a special guest from the winery. All chefs and vintners are featured on Charlotte Wine & Food’s website and social media surrounding the events. A flat stipend is available to participating chefs and restaurants to cover expenses. 2020 dates for these events include Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

RESTAURANT VINTNER dinners
Each year we host 10+ vintner dinners at Charlotte’s top fine dining restaurants . These dinner experiences typically include 4 to 5-courses paired with wines and are hosted by a special guest from the winery. The average size of these dinners is 30-40 guests but can be smaller or larger depending on the venue’s capacity. A private room or full buy-out of a restaurant is required. All chefs and vintners are featured on Charlotte Wine & Food’s website and social media surrounding the events. A flat stipend is available to participating restaurants to cover expenses. The 2020 date for these events is Thursday, April 23, 2020.

The Grand Tasting is Charlotte Wine & Food’s largest tasting experience of the festival. It features over 100 different wines from around the globe, up to 12 area restaurants or culinary artisans, a few select breweries, an exclusive mobile silent auction and live music.

CWFW provides Restaurants / Chefs:
One (1) 6x30 service table with black linen
One (1) 6x30 back prep table with black linen
4x4 verterra plates
compostable forks (spoons available by request)
table signage (as shown at left - one pole sign with restaurant name and one table top sign with menu items listed)
trash can and disposal of trash
voucher for parking in deck / load-in will be from street but then the car or van must be moved
Restaurant / Chef to provide:
Headshot and bio for Chef to be posted to CWFW website Personalities page
Two (2) menu items - 3-4 oz tasting portions for up to 500 guests. Power is extremely limited. Chafing dishes with Sterno, crock pots, cambros and hot boxes are allowed. No induction or butane burners allowed.
Staff to plate/execute the dish (2 minimum / 3 maximum)
Decor or marketing pieces (optional)
Special disposable service ware if the 4x4 verterra provided will not suffice for the dish.
A restaurant gift certificate or other donation to our silent auction appreciated but not mandatory.
We are limited in the number of restaurants we can have participate and aim to have a varied selection of offerings. Participation is by invite-only. If you are interested in participating, email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Auctions (both silent and live) are one of the cornerstone’s of our fundraising. We have a need for exceptional food and wine experiences that can be auctioned at our events. There are many ways you can get involved:
Donate a restaurant gift certificate
Donate a special food or beverage experience i.e.- a guided oyster tasting, cocktail class, mash bill tasting, hands-on cooking class, wine tasting, etc. All ideas are welcome!
Donate time, talent and treasure for a future vintner dinner experience - Charlotte Wine & Food can pair you with the right partner or you can suggest a partner.
All donations to our auctions are 100% tax-deductible. 100% of proceeds from the auction benefit our children’s charities.
