Private Vintner Dinner with L’Ostrica

Charlotte Wine + Food hosted an exclusive Vintner Dinner sponsored by Chris & Kathy Cope and Flint & Julie McNaughton at L’Ostrica featuring the renowned winemaker Chris Carpenter - The Spire Collection's winemaker for such acclaimed brands as Lokoya, Cardinale, Mt. Brave, and La Jota in Napa Valley, as well as Hickinbotham in Austalia. Also joining us was Todd Brentall, CWS, WSET III, & Regional Manager of The Spire Collection.
Thank you to Chef Eric Ferguson and Cat Carter of L'Ostrica for curating an exceptional six-course dinner experience, thoughtfully paired with each wine selection.
Featured wines included the: Champagne Henriot Blanc de Blanc, 2023 Intrada Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 Mt. Brave Merlot, 2006 Lokoya Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon, 2021 Caladan Cabernet Franc, 2021 Cardinale, and the 2014 Cardinale.
The evening finished out with a spirited live auction including: a Duo of Mt. Brave including one (1) 750 mL 2021 Mt. Brave Mt. Veeder Malbec alongside one (1) 750 mL 2022 Mt. Brave Mt. Veeder Cabernet Franc; a 3L 2013 La Jota Vineyard Co. Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 3L 2019 Cardinale etched glass - ALL signed by Chris Carpenter. Through the generosity of all present, the auction netted $3,950 for our cause!
All proceeds benefited Beds for Kids, Digi-Bridge, Families Forward Charlotte, and Wayfinders.
