Vintner Dinner at The Speckled Pear

Charlotte Wine & Food Week presented by Truist hosted an unforgettable evening of fine wine and exceptional dining at Fort Mill’s newest hot spot, The Speckled Pear. Guests indulged in a multi-course dinner expertly crafted by owner and long-time CW+F supporter, Chef Michael Bader.. Each course was perfectly paired with outstanding selections from Banfi Vintners, one of Italy’s most celebrated producers. Special guest McKenzie Schmitt, District Manager of NC & SC for Banfi Vintners, guided guests through the evening, sharing the rich history and flavors behind these remarkable wines.

Featured wines included: 2024 Castello Banfi San Angelo Pinot Grigio Toscaralat, 2023 La Pettegola Vermentino IGT Toscana, 2022 Castello Banfi Magna Cum Laude IGT Toscana Super Tuscan, 2020 Castello Banfi SummuS IGT Toscana Super Tuscan, 2020 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2018 Castello Banfi Poggio alle Mura Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, & 2023 Banfi Rosa Regale Rosé Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG.
A brief live auction was held at the end of dinner including: a Dinner Experience for Four (4) at The Speckled Pear, and a 2018 Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Magnum. Through the generosity of our patrons, the auction raised $1,500!
All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place - a program of Thompson, Augustine Literacy Project, Digi-Bridge, and Wayfinders.
