Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist held a private vintner dinner at Charlotte’s brand new location of Uchi featuring the wines of E. Guigal. The special guests of the evening was Christophe Courteaud, Mid-Atlantic Division Manager of Vintus Wines. These classic Rhône wines were paired with an Omakase experience crafted by Chef Shaun King of Uchi

Featured wines included: E. Guigal Cotes du Rhône Blanc, E. Guigal Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Blanc, Château de Nalys Saintes Pierres de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, E. Guigal Tavel, E. Guigal Crozes-Hermitage Rouge, Château de Nalys Saintes Pierres de Nalys Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge, and E. Guigal Château d'Ampuis Cote-Rotie.
A brief live auction was held at the end of dinner including: One (1) Custom 4-Course In-Home Dinner for Eight (8) crafted by Chef Edwin Cruz of Edwin’s Organix; One (1) Omakase Experience for Six (6) with Beverage Pairings crafted by Uchi; a trio of E. Guigal Lala’s featuring one (1) 750 mL Bottle of 2021 E. Guigal La Turque Cote-Rotie, one (1) 750 mL Bottle of 2021 E. Guigal La Landonne Cote-Rotie, and one (1) 750 mL Bottle of 2021 E. Guigal La Mouline Cote-Rotie, and lastly, (3) Three 750mL Bottles of 2022 Shafer Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley, CA. Through the generosity of our patrons, the auction raised $9,800!
All proceeds benefited Beds for Kids, Digi-Bridge, Families Forward Charlotte, and Wayfinders.
